Hancock County is immersed in
modern technology and services. The Chamber of
Commerce building is a hub for the fiber optic ring
for Hancock County, made possible by Hancock
Telecom. Hancock Regional Hospital utilizes tele-medicine
services. The Alliance for Community Education
installed a new computer lab in the Chamber building
where they hold classes for adults wishing to
continue their education. The Hancock County Public
Library sends the Techmobile to many locations
around the county every week so residents can
utilize library services with a high-tech touch. Now, county
residents can reap the benefits of the library right
in their own cities.
Technology is increasingly
important to develop new agricultural products and
medicines, while broadband internet access is
developing to keep abreast of the times.
